Since opening its doors in 2005, the Arbor View High School Band program has grown from just 45 students into one of Nevada's premier performing arts programs, serving approximately 200 student musicians and performers each year through marching band, concert bands, jazz ensembles, percussion, color guard, and indoor performing arts.

Our mission is to develop outstanding musicians, performers, leaders, and citizens through a culture of excellence, dedication, teamwork, and pride. Every rehearsal, performance, and competition is an opportunity for our students to challenge themselves while creating unforgettable experiences that extend far beyond high school.

A Tradition of Excellence

The Arbor View Aggie Marching Band has earned recognition throughout Nevada and the western United States through consistent competitive success and innovative performances.

In 2008, Arbor View made its debut at the Bands of America Regional Championship in East Los Angeles, marking the beginning of a tradition of competing alongside many of the nation's finest marching bands. Since then, the Aggies have appeared at numerous Bands of America Regional Championships, earning multiple finalist appearances while continuing to represent Southern Nevada on the national stage. In recent years, the program has continued that momentum with additional BOA Regional Finals appearances and championship-level performances throughout the western United States.

The program is also a proud participant in the Nevada Marching Band Circuit (NMBC), Western Bands Association (WBA), and Music for All events, where Arbor View has earned numerous class championships, caption awards, and finalist placements while continually raising the standard for marching arts in Nevada.

Excellence Beyond the Football Field

The Arbor View Band Program is built on more than marching band.

Our concert ensembles consistently receive Superior ratings at the CCSD Advanced Band Festival, while our jazz ensembles have earned Superior ratings and prestigious awards, including recognition at the Reno Jazz Festival. Students regularly perform challenging literature while developing musicianship that prepares them for collegiate music programs and lifelong participation in the arts.

Our Color Guard program has established itself as one of Southern Nevada's finest, competing successfully through WGASC and winter guard events throughout California and Nevada. The program has earned championship titles and continues to perform among the region's most respected scholastic guards. Indoor percussion and winter guard further provide students with year-round opportunities to perform, compete, and grow.

These travel experiences expose students to world-class performance venues while creating lifelong memories and friendships.

Building Leaders

While awards and championships are important milestones, the true measure of our success is the growth of our students.

Through countless hours of rehearsal, performances, leadership opportunities, and community service, Arbor View Band members learn discipline, responsibility, teamwork, resilience, and excellence. Many alumni continue their musical careers at colleges and universities throughout the country, while others carry the lessons learned in band into successful careers in every profession.

As Arbor View High School celebrates more than two decades of excellence, the Aggie Band continues to build upon its tradition while embracing new opportunities for growth and innovation. Every season brings new performances, new friendships, and new achievements as our students strive to represent Arbor View High School, the Las Vegas community, and the State of Nevada with pride.
